Run a group. We’ll fill the seats.
Okay Fine is where people look for group therapy near them. List your group, screen the people who ask, run it your way. Flat monthly fee. No per-head anything.
The hard part isn’t running the group. It’s finding eight people who want a Tuesday-night grief group and will actually come.
Directories list you beside hundreds of other groups with no prices. Your own site reaches the clients you already have. We reach the people who’ve decided to try group — and the ones who are close.
Get more clients
- A listing people can find — by neighborhood, topic, schedule, format, price, insurance.
- Join requests from people who read what you wrote before you pick up the phone.
- A waitlist for your next cohort that keeps filling while the current one runs.
- Demand before you commit. See how many people near you are looking before you start a group (“five to nine people within five miles”). Propose a group and we’ll tell you when it has enough interest to run.
- Referrals from other therapists. Individual therapists refer their clients here when a group would help.
Get help organizing it
- Roster, join requests, screening, approvals, withdrawals — in one place instead of a spreadsheet and a text thread.
- One-tap logistics announcements (running late, room change, cancelled, trouble at the door) that reach every member by SMS and email, without the content in the message itself. You see how many got it.
- Every member has a verified phone number.
- Session schedule, capacity, open/closed status.
- Coming: rooms to rent by the hour, on a calendar.
Expand what you offer
Turn your waitlist into a group. Full practice, same hours, more people helped.
Serve people who can’t afford your individual rate without lowering it.
A step-down. Clients tapering from weekly individual have somewhere to go that isn’t “goodbye.”
Combined treatment. Individual plus group is well studied and well tolerated.
| Format | Length | Per session | Per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group, 8 people at $75 | 90 min | $600 | ≈ $400 |
| Individual | 60 min | $150–200 | $150–200 |
| Break-even against an individual slot | ≈ 3 members | ||
Most groups are private-pay; Medicare’s roughly $30 per member per session is not where the case is.
What the field thinks now
When identical treatments are compared head-to-head, group and individual formats produce statistically indistinguishable outcomes.

APA recognized Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy as a specialty in 2018.
American Psychological Association
APA’s own estimate: individual therapy is roughly 95% of care; shifting 10% to groups would let 3.5 million more Americans get treatment.

The reasons the field gives for not running groups, in order: training (10–30% of clinical education), filling and referrals, documentation and admin, no-shows, reimbursement. We can fix the middle three. AGPA and your local group-psychotherapy society can help with the first.
What we don’t do
- No cut of session fees. You bill your clients however you do now.
- No pay-to-rank, no per-referral fee. Every group is listed on the same terms.
- No chat, no video, no AI in the clinical relationship. Your work stays yours.
- We sign a BAA with you and treat every participant record as PHI from the moment it’s collected.
- We don’t hold your notes. We hold the roster and the logistics.
